Mapping multilingual content is handled by creating a tab for each language in your GatherContent template.
After this is done - you can create as many mappings as needed.
On import - the items will be translated, instead of new items created for each language (this is also supported).
You can import items with hierarchy from GatherContent to Sitefinity.
For example if you have Services page that has child pages for each service and you already defined this content in GatherContent - you can easily import the items in a hierarchical way.
GatherContent connector for Sitefinity supports taxonomies. This is done by adding check boxes control in your GatherContent template and mapping it to a category or tag field in Sitefinity.
Related images are also imported.
Map your GatherContent statuses to Sitefinity status.
Define if imported items status will be changed in GatherContent after import. Also - define what status the item will have when it is imported in Sitefinity.
We know your use case is unique. That is why we decided to create an easy to use API, using the Sitefinity EventHub. Attach to some of the events we've exposed and implement your custom logic.
We also thought you may want to define a different logic for importing some of the content types. We make this possible, by registering all the classes in a config. Add the type, implement your class and we'll use it instead our.
Last but not least - we are committed to provide consulting and implementation service if you need us.
So you can help us, guide us, correct us, make this connector better.
